March has been a good reading month for me, book 19 in 2021 was The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. Another one of those hard subject matters, but something I think we all need be thinking and talking about in this day and age especially.
Overall I felt the book was well done, the characters were well developed and the hard things were done in a way that was shocking and thought provoking without being over detailed. I did the audiobook and found myself wishing I had done the ebook on this one. I felt like some of the voices used to portray different characters felt mockingly stereotypical, not sure if using multiple narrators may have come across better, but all in all still worth reading.
