Book 1 of 2021 did not disappoint. I am not much of a historical person in general, but this is the third book I’ve read in the last year that made me wonder if a certain History teacher is why I think I don’t like history but maybe I actually do?! So even if you don’t think that’s your jam, imo it’s worth checking out All That Lingers by Irene Wittig. The weaving of the characters families throughout the span of the book was done in a way that you felt as if you were a friend of the family by the end. I ached with them, feared for them, was angry for them, and celebrated their joys throughout. I’m a sucker for a happy ending and this one did not disappoint. Karma was served!
